Need some suggestions about defeating Diablo

Post by AkimboMyGherkin »

Hi all, pretty new to Belzebub, and I think I have messed up my Warrior's stat prior to attempting to kill Diablo.

I am currently using Azurewrath, full plate, resistance are all to 75%, and I can cut through all other mobs with no trouble. But my DPS is just not high enough to kill Diablo quickly before he went apeshit and summon tonnes of mops in this unfair boss fight. I don't have enough mana to cast golem to distract Diablo, 152 str is a total gimp in the face of Diablo himself.

I have spent the last few days grinding for a few levels to bump up STR, but Diablo just proves to be too difficult for me.

To make things more difficult, all unique mob/bosses have their hp reset upon my deaths or the use of TP. I am so frustrated that I am now considering wiping this character to start anew. Is my character is still somehow salvageable at this stage, or I am just better off wiping it to start anew?

Thanks for your advice in advance!

Pretty much had the same problem with my warrior... Though I only put the first 6-7 levels worth into DEX in order to get block chance and hit chance up considerably (as I would have in vanilla). I wasn't even able to defeat the first boss in Terror's Domain with my warrior...

Ended up just making a sorcerer instead and breezed through everything that my warrior had so much trouble with and was able to defeat Diablo with him. Guess I'll have to farm on my sorcerer for better equipment so that my warrior can progress. :?

Physical classes really struggle to survive until they get life leech as well as decent dps to fuel said life leech. Unfortunately, you need to beat normal mode for this to happen.

Sorcerer is by far the best starter class (although they struggle to get to torment mode). I recommend building a sorcerer then a rogue (best class to farm torment) then whatever class you want afterwards.

I also recommend saving 1 of each unique/set item, even the crappy ones. Even garbage uniques can be beneficial when leveling a new character.
