I have hit a major wall with this guy. I have tried kiting him up and down the entire zone using phase to teleport away and I can't seem to chip away at his health fast enough.

I am a level 27 rogue in normal difficulty.

Can anyone offer advice as to how to take this guy down? The heat seeking spirit things are a bit much.

I haven't struggled too much until this point and it's making me want to give up.

One easy way to kill him with rogue is to make him lose sight of you (teleporting into corners, etc) and then, shooting guided arrows at his direction and keep repeating this, i recommend getting the most magic you can on items and upgrade your golem, also, always keep the golem up.

I've done the same for diablo, but with diablo it's a bit harder because he has a lot of ranged attacks ( meteors, flamewaves etc ), but still manageable.

Keep in mind that Gam'ar is the easiest of the 4 bosses, maybe try to farm a little bit more if you have trouble with the other bosses, get to level 30-34, and atleast 75 fire res, i did some hell 14-16 runs back at the time because my equips was pretty shit.
