Calling all Barbarians

Post by Ugily »

Having a difficult time clearing Hell Terror Domain. Level 47.

Have most of the suggestions already adapted. Have pretty good stats.

Question is whether to use 2-handed weapons or go with single and shield. Are there any current benefits for using 2-Handed versus 1-handed plus shield for barbarian?

Easiest way is to just use Trang'Oul's set, but you may be missing pieces, i know the Artefact and Claw are pretty rare.

And my take was, a great rare axe (Gothic) and some crafted Zealot rings with life leech, it wasn't tough at all, i did it in 1 try and for ex my Warrior which used weapon+shield took 3 or 4 tries to beat Diablo before full power. On weapon it's best to have mostly physical damage, some Fire dmg is okish and Cold is rare but Lightning dmg is the worst, because almost all are immune to it and it tricks the DPS display and makes you think you do more dmg when in fact you don't. And use buffs at all times (InnerFire/Rage/Insanity/Sacrifice) and keep your Frenzy timer up. When clearing i go south/west/back south and teleport inside east and then after clearing the north room i free the generals.

Giving it a try. I have a Trang'Oul's set from my necro. Add to that, Cats eye for speed, Frost ring for freeze protection, and crafted belt and other rings for stats. DPS is around 780, but speed is fast, used to run 2800-3500 DPS from crafted divine septer and dragon breath shield.

Down I go, whipped through lvl 16 in just a few minutes.

Well, that equipment build worked. Cleared Terror Domain and beat Diablo in under 10 minutes. On to torment!

Congrats, i believe Trang'Oul's set is aimed at Assassin, and frankly it would have been way more difficult to end Hell difficulty with my Assassin if i didn't have it. I didn't try it with a Barbarian but since Frenzy and Fanaticism are similar and Barbarian is more resistant and "lively" i thought it would work better, even if the DPS seems so low, with the speed from skills it does an excellent job. So good luck with exploring Torment! My Barbarian is at the Caves (had to get the Anvil, to stop switch difficulty for salvaging), and i have't played him in more than a month. :(
