Bug? Can't switch from Full to window to full after minimize

Post by Mugsy »

I was playing full screen when I suddenly needed to exit to Windows but didn't want to stop & lose my place, so I went into Settings and switched off Full Screen mode, which put the game in a window. :)

I then minimized the window, but when I tried to go back, the window would not raise again. :(

Using the "Peek" on the toolbar to see a preview, I was able to switch the Settings back to "Full Screen" mode (this took a minute because every time I hit a key or clicked the mouse, the Peek would close.)

When I told it to Accecpt the new settings, I was able to raise the window, but not full screen. It was still in a small window in the center of my screen with no frame (no controls.)

I played around with the Settings, but couldn't get it to go Full Screen again.

Is this a known problem? Is there a fix? Thx.

Hmm you may try deleting/moving away the data\game_data\settings.chuj file, see if that resets the settings.

Can't return to full screen after minimize

Post by Mugsy »

Thanks for the reply, but no, deleting the settings does nothing once the game has already loaded and the settings have been read.

Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me? :?:

Did you try enable full screen option once again? Because default the game runs in windowed mode.

Verify.

Please verify if it's just me first.

What happens when you run the game in "Full Screen" mode, switch Full screen Off in the Settings to return to the desktop, minimize the window, then try to return?

Are you able to? If so, which version of Windows are you running?

Or is it just me? Thx.

I tried it and i can return without issue. I'm on win 8.1 x64 and i think it's just you that has this problem, otherwise there would have been more reports.

Odd.

I just tried from another User Account on this same computer and it worked just fine.

I wonder what I have running in this account that is preventing the window from restoring? Thx
