I'll give you my take.
NR 1: Sorcerer
No weapon/armor dependency, best skills, no real need for any other stat except +Magic, that is if you know how to avoid getting hit, has best Golem anyway so you can use it to control the mobs. End game just get any staff with +% Spell Damage and -% Enemy Resistance, and notice that sometimes +spell levels don't help much. Overall everything is good.
NR 2: Rogue
Just a high speed bow and some life/mana steal required, buff with Piercing Shots and spam Multiple Shot, occasionally switch to Sightless Eye and Guided Arrow for single targets. All points into DEX, some STR to wear better gear (not really needed) but since STR also gives damage why not? Just learn Teleport, Golem, Stone Curse and your Physical Damage will deal with everything.
NR 3: Necromancer
Slower that the Sorcerer at dealing damage, but compensates with minions. Put all points into VIT and see him shines when he gets Blood Ritual. I'd say safest to play because he has a ton of health but can still be annoying because you can't pass through your summons in tight areas, thou teleport will take you places, but be sure that as soon as you do, you step away from the landing point so your minions take damage.
NR 4: Barbarian
All STR allows you wear good gear, you innately gain resistance, your skills cost nothing and besides some Hit Recovery all you need to survive is at least 10% life steal when you have high damage, if not get a bit more. Use Frenzy on left attack, and Cleave on Right, when you face some Behemoth creeps buff with InnerFire+Rage and alternate Cleave with Mortal Strike, it's all good.
NR 5: Warrior
The barbarian's younger brother, thou faster at engaging targets with his Charge skill. Valiant Strike on Left Attack, and Cleave on Right, buff with Shield Wall when dealing with tough bosses. Again get lots of Hit Recovery speed and more life steal, because your dmg is not as high as big brothers', but your defense will be.
NR 6. Assassin
Sadly she is more glass than cannon, i wish she had the Sorcs skill Etheralize, because i never use it on him and she would benefit more from it. All points into Dex and as much +STR on gear to wear better armor, also focus on the affix +80-100 life, she has really really low life, get some Hit Recovery as well thou it's not as vital since a few hits will kill you anyway. Stealth skill is kinda buggy and will fail sometimes, you will use Fanaticism on Left Attack and Maleficent Strike on Right Attack, and for bosses you just have to Dragon Flight+run and repeat. And be sure when you pick up shields to unequip them, you do less DMG with a shield and she always equips one, the bitch.
Overall the fighter characters have a harder time and need some uniq items/sets to make them powerful, basically you are required to have some uniq affixes like Cannot Be Frozen, Ignore Target Defense, Faster Walk Speed, etc. I hope i'm not forgetting anything vital, but i would remember some more examples if you encounter problems.
