Now when belzebub has high res maybe its time to port it to android so that friends without pcs can play it tooo , good for when wireless lan arrives

Porting to apk any future for that?

Alternatively would be nice to see monk in belzebub and the hellfire stuff ported over ...

It is probably possible but on the other hand...

There is like 100 people total playing this mod. Porting it to completly different platform will take months to gain like another 10 players.

As you can see there is little motivation to do that.

But having it as an apk and on google appstore could make this mod very popular among old diablo players with mobiles

then in future a wireless lan would make it awesome , can play with my girlfriend cause she wants it on her android phone.

Edit , with belzebub apk on appstore i seriously doubt that only 10 people will play it

the players just need to copy diabdat.mpq into their sd card in same dir as the apk and the installation will complete

That wouldn't be possible in legal way. This mod depends on contents from diablo 1 CD and couldn't be shipped together.

That is the users job copy the diabdat.mpq from their diablo cd to the sd for the apk to install successfully just as we pc users do:D

Btw, back to 2010 year, when I have used HTC Touch Pro which worked on Windows Mobile 6.5 platform, I have played Diablo 1. I can say more, I still have this phone and Diablo 1 on it. But it was a little unknown project which had maybe 100 players over the world. Brightlord's work is more and more known with every single day. Some of fan sites already have references about it. And project is only in beta phase. Try to imagine what will happen, when multiplayer arrive. Noone want to go to jail, try to understand how world is constructed. For you it's just fun and amusement. For others not.

If you realy want to play Diablo 1 on android phone just use PSX emulator ant play playstation version on it. If I well remember it has co-op mode up to two players.

I did never mention of any shipping of diablo data with belzebub , users will stick with copying from their diablo cd as usual . An android port could make this mod more popular and stick out from all other not so serious and unupdated mods for any game.
