Interface recolor
Interface recolor
An hour of fun in Photoshop has led me to this:

original picture for comprasion:

I know the interface of this game is not supposed to be warm and cozy, but comeon, i think its bland and outdated. Poo and pee- ... oh sorry, brown and gold look better for my eye here.
How this looks like in other places:

Opinions?

I somehow can see appeal in recolors as such, and especially as Wingard chose to leave the devil and the angel statues grey - providing variety.
However, these should not be enforced by default...
However! I remind that the MPQ archives are easily openable with one of 2-3 MPQ viewers findable online for free, in which case all game resources (graphics, sounds, even item stats if you know how) can be found and edited at will. It's not as easy as games prepared to preload mods (such as torchlight), but it's the second easiest.

I don't like the yellow look. The UI looks ok in my opinion. I'm open to redesigns, but the yellow thing looks strange.
But I could suggest the experience bar was moved up higher either above or below the potion line. Its too far down to be easily seen. Also, you could use a lighter colour. Something closer to white, so it contrasts more with the UI and therefore stands out a little more. I find I never really notice the experience bar. What's funny is I never knew the mod had it in there until recently, lol. Not important, but just a suggestion.

I didnt say a thing about enforcing it or setting by default... This thread was not about suggestion, it was about "how would diablo look with interface like this".However, these should not be enforced by default...
Im in love with this idea. When it comes to life it and i will make lots of children. There is plan to make UI layout customizable by user someday. There will be .png for whole UI and coordinates for buttons and controlls.
