How to kill Diablo as Sorcerer ?

Hello there, I'm a level 28 sorcerer who has come to the last boss - Diablo himself on normal, and I have no idea on how to kill him as the game is now. Nothing i shoot at him even registers as a hit. What spells do I need to use witch is most effective? I think I've tried every single combo with no luck.

Hope someone can answer this for me

what worked best for me was lightning/chain-lightning and elemental drain. what also helped me (on hell difficulty) was guardian. i think this should help as well on normal.

On normal Lightning is very strong against Diablo. But... You need a lot of armor/resistance and mana. Easiest way to have a lot of mana is:

1) before engaging Diablo go to town, empty your backpack and fill it only with mana bottles
2) go to terror domain, drop all of your mana pots on the ground... Somewhere where where you can retreat without any danger of Diablo coming
3) go to town again and fill another backpack of mana bottles
4) go to terror domain, engage Diablo, spam him with Lightning (remember to have elemental drain as often as you can).
5) when you're out of mana on the belt go to your safe spot, fill your belt with mana.
6) repeat continously points 4 and 5

On normal it is simple. Use any staff with guardian. Spawn a lot of them behind and around the wall. Use healing or mana shield + potions to survive. Use teleport to always keep diablo on other side of wall. Sometimes add new guardians from staff. You may kill him using about 15 potions or even less.

I did the guardian cheese in normal, but will it also work in Nightmare?
