Hi everyone, I'm new here.
Been a long time Diablo player on PS1 and PC, absolutely LOVE the modded community (Project Diablo 2 aswell) so thank you to everyone involved in these projects. It's really really appreciated!
So me and my brother have returned to Diablo1 to find this HD Belzebub mod and we are actually able to play online together which is brilliant.
We're using ZeroTier to connect to the TCHERNEBOG_NETWORK but the reliability of it is really flaky? We're either in the game together for 15 minutes or 15 seconds and it doesn't matter who creates or joins which game, the host will always remain and the joiner will drop randomly. There doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason here. I don't really know what else to try and do, We tried forwarding ports on both our PC's which only really worked on mine as he couldn't even access his router page. Which is another anomaly.
Anyone else had connection issues like this? I'm sorry I can't really describe the problem any other way except for 'We drop' randomly. Is it due to the Tchernebog server? Do I need to get the port forwarding sorted properly to fix connectivity issues?
Thanks for ANY response guys!
Online connection issues
Re: Online connection issues
It is definitely not a problem with Zero Tier. Zero Tier works just fine for everyone.
Make sure both computers have the game added as exception in Window's Firewall.
Try connecting directly via IP (just choose the option of connecting via IP, create game, and the other player insert's the IP of who created the game to join). The IP is show in the game.
Another alternative is to try using Hamachi.
