Sooo Am I doing something Wrong?

I was enjoying the mod for the most part, even though it feels unreasonably unbalanced at times with hasted/knock back enemies, up until diablo... got there w/in the hour, and he either spammed me into inability to actually do anything and potions didn't wanna tick or reset any time i got him low... (Well within the hour time frame i might add.)

I'm a level 28 necromancer with 162 Vit w/ gear.
I tried kiting, head on, gorrilla tactics, and spam summoning, none of that worked... I feel like this mod is designed to /rollwar get haste sword.... Short of going melee wizard (honestly necros summons are so flimsy it feels like a discount wizard...)

In Normal, Ugily the Necro resorted to melee with life leaching Bloodletter sword to best Diablo. Keep skeletons as distractions.

sooo your saying life steal and haste on a sword... Literally Vanilla diablo warrior tactics... sigh... Guess ill start farming for a haste sword of vamparism.

I didn't make any special effort to farm for equipment, just kept pushing forward deeper into the dungeon until I couldn't clear a level. Then, if I wasn't ready to quit playing, I would go back and reclear the upper levels for a while and maybe find some useful gear. That was how I found Bloodletter gladius and Split skull shield to take care of melee. Was mostly luck, but was able to beat Diablo down.

My necro build started off mostly as a warrior necro before I learned that that is useless later in Torment levels.

I get what your saying, Diablo is whats preventing me from moving forward, everything else allowed proper kiting, summon spam, or gorilla wizard tactics. Hes just literally resetting, 1 shotting, or stun locking me from attempt those. I've not had much luck farming up a decent weapon yet, but ill keep looking. Was already running a shield and a +all-stats weapon for tankyness when casting and summoning.

Just run the game in compatibility mode and Diablo is gonna be much easier

Forget this BS about compatibility mode, running minesweeper in the background, and typing in $IDDQD.

Just push forward and level up.

Normal is great because the quests are new and you get the one time quest prizes, but it is very easy to beat for the most part once some rare and unique prize equipment is found.

Nightmare and Hell is just grinding to beat Diablo as quickly as possible so you can move on to Torment.

Torment is where the game difficulty gets interesting and intense. Get there as quickly as possible.
