Belzebub vs Tchernobog

Post by MikeSol »

If I am only interested in single player, should I stick with Belzebub or go with Tchernobog anyway?

Just note that Belzebub characters will not convert over to Tchernobog if you decide to switch to MP.

.... unless someone out there codes a file converter of some sort.???? Which is unlikely.

Thank you for the replies. I just did some more research on these two mods. It looks like the single player quests don't work in Tchernobog so I will definitely be sticking to Belzebub.

That is correct. As an alpha version for Diablo HD multiplayer, Tchernobog does not have quests yet, but BrightLord will eventually add them.

Tchernobog also has some bugs and game balance changes - few buffs to melee classes, magic nerfed all over the place. And of course you won't be able to have single player quests' character point rewards, meaning your attributes cap is lower - these are most meaningful differences.

All in all, if you want to experience the game, it is better to play Belzebub; if you want to hang out with friends, by all means go for Tchrnobog, as most of game breaking bugs were fixed in latest update.

Also, when Tchernobog Quests are activated, characters will probably still be able to go back and play out the quests and achieve the rewards.

That would be the case if in new version we will be able to use old characters.
