Diablo 1 HD Hellfire Mod | Awake

I tried to wield this unique quest item and I believe some irreversable damage was done to my hero. Does anyone know how much and if the effects are permanent?

Hello, I also tried to use Shadowfang, but no negative effect has been applied to my character. What exactly you're talking about?

In the quest everyone stressed the importance of me not using the sword... When I equipped it I believe I lost attribut points. Seems as I reacted due to my HP having decreased. But since I didn't track my points prior to equipping shadow fang I can't be sure if anything was indeed lost. Thats why I came by here, to ask if anyone knew

I created a new barbarian to plow down to shadowfang and test it out. I'll get down there by this evening.

No effect wielding Shadowfang.
No worries.

It was fun to run another Barb from scratch using $PLAYER 10 the whole way through. Leveled up fast and only died a few times from keyboard mistakes.
