Hi, crafting doesn't work yet in the latest version, right?

Crafting does work in this version. Crafting is only available after you finish the Anvil quest (In the Caves).

I've finished it and there's the anvil at the Griswold's house. But how and where do I get the stuff to use it? Gems? Are they present in the game? How does it work? Thanx.

you put some items ( magic,rate,unique,set) inside anvil , and use SALVAGE
you will have gems

I see, thank you. There's probably no way to know what item will give certain gems?

Is what gems and oils you get from an item decided totally by random? Or can you see by the item's features/price/whatever what you can salvage from it?

The oil type doesn't seem random at least :
magic item => azure oil
rare item => crimson oil
unique or set item => golden oil (IIRC)
crafted item => silver oil

For the gems, I've been wondering...

Thanx for the info. Is there a way to split a gem into flawed gems somehow? All the receipes I found need lots of flawed gems but I have normal gems...

found nothing yet. wouldn't expect it either...
just salvage weaker items.
(e.g. just clear the first dungeon a few times with high magic find, should give enough)
or get better recipes

So I'm just digging up this old thread.

You sure these are all the ingredients needed? Maybe it needs more of them, try to drag the list down.

Yeah I checked 4 times. And all the reagents are marked as green.
Hm I'll try and drag the slider down once I get home again. Thanks so far

Ah, there were more ingredients further down. It worked now.. Sorry
