Diablo 1 HD Hellfire Mod | Awake

Hello all, I am super excited to try out this game.

I grabbed a copy of Diablo and copied over teh DIABDAT.MPQ file. When I try to launch, I get the following error:
"Failed to create palette file: levels/towndata/town.pal."

Any idea whats up?

I DL'ed Diablo cuz my CD was installing both Diablo and Hellfire in the same time

then i used Daemon Tool = never had any problems

seriously, it is the easiest mod to install, it worked at the first time for me, when every other mod i tested (pretty much all mods for D1 lol ) i always had problems and had to re-try etc.

You just did something wrong, try again with installing properly like it is said, and should be allright ( im using Win8 if that matters)

Found a different copy of Diablo and took the dat file from there, seems to be working now. Guess I got a bad file.
