Hi, I'm on level 8 and I found the Pentagram Portal but it doesn't take me anywhere. What to do?

Yes, read the books. I just guessed until I got the correct order. After that you can go to Horazon's Sanctuary.

I've read the 3 books and the room opened but the portal in it doesn't take me anywhere.

Try standing on the portal pad a little bit longer! It usually takes 4 seconds for me.
