That "$player x" option

from what i´ve read it alters xp/health/dmg/droprate/dropquality of monsters.
how does it scale, is there a table somewhere?
does it work instantly, e.g. i beat a boss to his last 10%hp and then i change to player 10 and it works, or only on not-yet created monsters?
is player 10 worth it or does it just make the game harder for little xp/loot improvement?

(i´d just try that, but atm i can't)

Answer me for this question: Why you didn't even check how this works before creating this thread?

because i can't check atm, but didn't want to forget about it...
also getting the exact values would require a lot of testing and statistics, would be cool if someone did that already or knows firsthand.
reason enough to create a thread?

Propably you can take mf formula form Jarluf's D2 guide. I'm not sure is it same or not but... You can see propably similar raise in difficulty/drops etc

About your question with changing $player while fighting. It's same as in D2. Players factor is same as when you encounter your enemy. You can change it only in Tristram, but as you propably know, when you're in Tristram all of enemies HP are maxing up.

Command will affect all of monsters that arent engaged in combat.

These formulas are not very good. They were improved in Tchernobog to ramp up difficulty stronger.

Increasing MP in game definately adds to the enjoyment of the challenge. Leveled up and in-between characters have to fight a running battle.

If you thought you could just hack through a level without a scratch, then before you go into the Hell, type [ENTER] $PLAYER 10

And much slaughter was had by all!
