Hi there!

Are chest/barrel drops affected by 'magic find'?

I know that they are not affected by $player X, but I have no idea with mf...

[I always put on mf equip when opening the chests at the end of lost treasure quest. So does this make sense or is it just a waste of time?]

I think this question was asked before. The answer was no. There's no point in changing gear before opening a chest then switching the gear back and theres no point raising the player level to 10 before opening a chest, then restting player level to 1 afterwards.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

IIRC MF have influence on chest drops, but yes, $player factor doesn't change quality of drops. I'll try to find BrightLord quote on MF. When i find it i will edit this post.

From my personal notice it doesn't make any difference if I open the lost treasure chests with or without MF gear.

But I know the most important factor in finding good stuff is...

... luck So I will go on and continue wearing MF gear when opening the chests.
