I assume he's part of the dev team? Anyway, why haven't you considered opening up a donation paypal account? I'm sure people like this mod enough to donate and perhaps that would give more incentive to work on the mod further? This mod isn't nearly as popular as it should be (only like 800 likes or something on facebook?). If the news spread via blizzard forums and websites (such as Diablo 3 website), you'd have people pooling into this mod. But before you spread the news, you should finish multiplayer and some other aspects. If the player base did skyrocket, you could be raking in a lot of money from donations.

Sorry to talk about money, but this mod is really great and I'm sure you could make a lot of money off it. It's just I feel you definitely deserve it in my opinion. And plus, I'm desperate to see multiplayer and possibly even battlenet haha Anyway, thanks for sharing this mod with us. I've had a really fun time playing it so far.

Doing money on something you dont have license is like shoting yourself with bow right into your own foot. mods and engine changes are already grey area

Mod will progress slowly and eventually be complete. However it will take much longer then people expect.
I dont think agresive advertising on internet will help it at all. Just create extra pressure and make it less fun to work on.

Well a lot of sites and development on the net has and it is still currently been done as a hobby and they have open donations.

The thing about donations, is that it is up to the people to decide whether when they use your product they should pay something for it, or just use it. It is all in the hands of the people and there's no legal stuff around it. Everyone can decide for themselves if they want to spare something, small or large.

You should have a discrete way of donating, like a single paypal account which people must PM you to access.

I'd throw in a little coin even if i knew you were going to drop off the map and let the mod die
