Diablo Kill Nightmare - Total Fail

I killed diablo on nightmare and what did he drop? NOTHING
maybe it's a bug caused by him standing direct to the wall when he died. Nevertheless - totally annoying!
PS: He died in the middle corridor hallway/walktrough area.
