Diablo 1 HD Hellfire Mod | Awake

Rainbow color issues when running diablo 1. Soon as it starts I get the color issue right away along with it in game.

Things I've tried:

Registry edits (downloaded from site)
Killing explorer.exe
Compatibility modes..all variations.
Changing resolution to 640 x xxx with 16bit
Updated video card drivers
Reinstalled Diablo
Manually modified registry entries

I'm currently using virtual box with windows xp but it's not optimal.

Video card : AMD Radeon HD (notebook) 7500

Virtualbox's performance is awful. I can barely play as a sorcerer

have you tried with direct draw emulation or a wrapper?
