Question about the Necromorb

I have a slight question concerning the HP of these demons. If they are enemies with the A.I type of a Mage, which is more the run away from you type, then why is it that Necromorbs have the potential to spawn with more HP than Blood Knights? That doesn't seem fitting for a caster enemy IMO.
