Diablo 1 HD Hellfire Mod | Awake

Hello,

ive bought D1 from GOG and installed ist (with Hellfire expansion).
Then i downoaded the most recent Mod-Release 1045 and extraced it to my Diablo folder.

Diablo is starting all fine, but when i try to execute the Beelzebub.exe a window opens and is stuck on loading, which forces me to stop the application sooner or later,

The readme calls for an installation of some .dll, but i didnt figure it out.


Can someone help me please?

Did you place the mod files in the diablo folder?
Something like: C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Diablo

Yes i did.

When im trying to launch diablo hellfire or diablo HD via the launcher installed by gog nothing will happen either.

Strange.
I installed diablo+hellfire with GoG Galaxy and simply copied the mod into that folder. All game versions work (d1/hf from GoG, mod from Belzebub exe). Sounds like you did the same and I am of no help... For me it was no extra steps required.
The GoG version should come with all dlls and such, maybe you have to run the GoG version first, but I guess you did?

Yeah i run tha base version from launcher, the hellfire and HD version arent working either.

Im running Windows 10 Version 20H2.

If hellfire doesn't work I would try to contact GoG about that and hope it fixes the mod as well.

I'm running w10 too.

I did a uninstall and reinstalle again - now it works. im pretty sure i did the exact same installation as before but whatevver - thanks anyways.
