Changing Difficulty in Single Player

I am still trying to figure out a way to change difficulty in Single Player Awakening XD.
First off,
1. The multiplayer exploit / glitch that has you make a character, then create a nightmare or hell game, then switch over to single player REQUIRES you already have a lvl 20+ character EXISTING on battlenet in order to create a nightmare or hell difficulty game.
2. Trainers do not work with Diablo Awakening (The only reason I tried was they are able to change difficulty)
3. I looked for some sort of .dat or .cfg file inside of Diablo Awakening to see if I could manipulate it to default to nightmare or hell upon new game. I failed XD
If anyone knows anything about manipulating the game to change difficulty AFTER TRYING the above, (and please don't waste anyones time by repeating the above) I would be interested.
Possibilities:
A: Hex edit address of Difficulty modifier.
B. Other exploit to change difficulty
C. Another trainer that could change the difficulty of Diablo Awakening.
