equipped items not displaying on character

is this a bug? but i am not seeing the armor visuals on my character

The above link is an example of my character with a chest armor equipped. Shouldn't it display a different visual than my default character?

I am playing on multiplayer with a couple of friends.

no it isn't a bug, light/leather type armour does not display on character models in diablo 1, only medium/mail and heavy/plate does display
