Diablo 1 HD Hellfire Mod | Awake

As many now know, Tunngle has shut down...

So here is the way to connect with other players moving forward. The layout is pretty similar to Tunngle and with a few minutes of exposure, it seems easy enough to join/host games.


The program required to meet and play with others on Diablo 1 HD Tchernobog is called Evolve, the download link is below:

-Once downloaded, register with a gmail email account (gmail required).
-Create a User name and Password.
-On first log in, it will bring you to the "news" tab, just click the "multiplayer" tab on the top menu.
-From here, the game search tab is located in the bottom right corner, just simply search for "Diablo".
-All Diablo 1 HD Tchernobog users should join/create in the "Diablo: Hellfire" server. This is to avoid confusion with potential other mods i.e. Diablo the hell mod etc.
-Click Find users FIRST! Or click "Create Party" if there is currently no hosted lobby available. (If you create party, again, host on the "Diablo: Hellfire" server).

That is all that is required. When you enter a lobby, right click on a users name and "copy ip to clipboard". Paste this IP in the appropriate multiplayer/Lan menu in your D1 Tchernobog game


**Note:
-On first use, when hosting or joining a game it will ask you to download a VPN software, click install to proceed with the install.


It will take a few days/weeks to accumulate and assemble everybody back together again. After some time we can contact the admins at Evolve and ask them for a D1 HD Mod Lobby like we used to have in tunngle. For the time being, all Diablo 1 Tchernobog users please assemble in the "Diablo: Hellfire" lobby. Do not host/join on the "Diablo: The Hell" server because it will only create massive confusion...

Was able to connect in Evovle and In game, Confirmed to work.

-As always add an exception to windows firewall for D1 Tchernobog
-(Usually it pops up in windows when someone first tries to join your host).
-I just turn mine off when playing D1 Tchernobog, but can't necessarily recommend doing so.

Hello, I installed Evolve but I can't find a way to launch the game.

I also tried to play with my brother on 2 pc's connected to the same network but that didn't work either.
Firewall is configured correctly.

Hey, I played diablo tchernobog on tunngle for a while and I had a lot of fun. Now I created a new account on evolve, name "Diablo1997" , to have fun again .

Evolve is dead. There ain't anybody. I was hosting a server for three days and not even one guy joined it . There wasn't also other lobbys.

On Tunngle we had always at least 3 up to 8 people chilling in our channels. Evolve is not even compareable to it. The only games which are activly hosted in Evolve are the mainstream games such as cs:go, minecraft, terraria.

If you all guys, who wrote the Evolve acc names here down, play tcherno there activly, then I want to know why I don't see any lobby there up and yes I am using it correctly.

Hello,

Me & a friend tried the author's procedure to be able to play with each other, but we failed.

We tried evolve, hamachi and everytime we had the same error after one of us created a game and the other tried to join with the creator's IP adress : Connection has been rejected by game host computer

Can anyone help us here ? we really want to play this game in mutliplayer
