Diablo 1 HD Hellfire Mod | Awake

I tried just copying my entire Diablo directory to laptop via USB but then all my characters are gone. Can someone explain the correct way to transfer a character or save to another machine?

That's because save files are not in installing folder, they're in another folder usually in Documents, and they're named as your characters.tchsv
