Monster balancing

As a level 33 warrior in nightmare difficulty, I've noticed that while most monsters seem to balance well and scale with the player, there are occasionally a few base types that are much stronger than any others which appear on their same map.

Most notably are the undead balrogs. Compared to other monsters at their same level, they have twice, or more than twice the attack speed, much higher hit chance%, and insanely high damage. As an example, just a regular undead balrog was doing more damage to me than champions or unique monsters of other types on that same level. (about 50-70 damage per attack, and hits about 2-3 times a second)

Plus the fact that they also have a ranged freezing attack which they often use, if you don't have freeze immunity, you'll never be able to recover from their hits as you're slowed down, and they attack insanely fast and accurately.

I guess a silver lining though, is that they don't show up that often, and they can't open doors, but overall, I thought it strange how a regular tier monster could be so much more powerful than other regular monsters.

(I know this version isn't going to be updated anymore, but I thought I'd voice this topic anyway)

This is very much known as well as fact that game is, well, far from being balanced in all aspects. Belzebub having no planned updates doesn't mean Diablo HD (which would be final product) won't have balance fixes.
It's not a secret that undead balrogs and freeze as whole (hello Posessed champ packs!) are fucked up, and if Brightlord ever gets to the point when he has his final product stably working, he will probably look into balancing out the numbers.

Alright, thanks for the response; I guess I'll look forward to the full release when it comes out someday, and maybe also try Tchernobog when it's passed its alpha stage.
