Diablo 1 HD Hellfire Mod | Awake

Finally got my Golem to level 11. Went to do the quest in Nightmare. Bam, level 12. Love it. Go to do the quest on Normal. Finish up, my guy says, "it's time to die," or whatever, spell still level 12. I repeat the process about 4 more times, thinking I had maybe messed something up. Still nothing. Level 12 spell.

A. Is there some way to fix the quest?
B. Is there some way I can edit the character to have completed the quest and get the reward correctly?

I'm not sure, but I think once you kill The Summoner you can't do the golem part any more. If you have killed him of course.

Okay, but I did it correctly the first time, as outlined by the quest section and as I stated that I had previously done in Nightmare. Any way to fix the character or am I going to be stuck at level 14 Golem?
