Diablo 1 HD Hellfire Mod | Awake

Hi! I have tried out the Belzebub mod, and I have a question: Is it possible to bring back the "Save/Load" functionality that regular Diablo uses in singleplayer? Apparently the mod has replaced this with a "respawn in town" feature like in multiplayer (and like in Diablo II and Diablo III).

I really like the "Save/Load" play style of the original Diablo. Is it possible to do that in the Belzebub mod?

That's unfortunate, as I really don't like the Diablo 2+ style of "reset the world" every time you load into your game because that completely ruins the sense of continuity that D1 had.

For those of us that don't care about playing online, you've killed off core functionality.
