Video Issue (solved)

Post by JonkZX »

So the Mod is working perfectly and I just upgraded my video card from a 590 to a 1080 (running dual monitors as well) and now I am running into a weird issue.

My cursor gets stuck about 1 inch above where the belt is. It is not totally game breaking but I would like to try and Fix it.

I have changed resolutions checked my drivers, and I searched these forums to see if anyone else ran into the same issue but so far no luck.

I may have to move over and play this on my laptop.

Any ideas would be helpful.

I have another Gr.Card, nvidia 940M, but i think i had the same problem. Somehow i fixed it, i'll have to check my game settings, i think you should change the ingame video resolution. I'll write you later when i get home, can't check it from my mobile phone ^^.

So i checked it now with my game, it is indeed a resolution problem. Just try out different resolutions and see which works best for you. To do so:

Start game - press Esc - Video Options - Resolution (try out). Also check that "Fullscreen Mode" is on.

For me the best is 1600:900. 1152:864 is ok too.

Hey andronnik I tried 1600:900 and that works as long as I'm not in full screen mode. As soon as I go to full screen I have the same problem.

Hey at least I can play again!

Thanks for the Help!

I don't understand why, but that happens to me when I connect my laptop to my TV set. For me this problem is solved by just turning full screen off then on again.

Try one more thing:
right click on the Game icon -> properties -> Compatibility -> try out different settings.

I don't remember how exactly, but somehow it worked for me :D

JonkZX, try to install newest drivers for your graphic card.

Note: recomended resoluition for the mod is 1024x600 like in the official trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4PfLbMJCoA (or possibly 1280x720px if 600px isn't supported)

On higher resolution like 1920x1080 game looks weird :-)

What you call weird, i call OP.

The point of viewage with 1920x1080 is from so much above, that you see monsters, but monsters don't see you. Profit! :D

Game looks unnaturally when you see 1/3 of map.

You are right, if resolution is higher, then gameplay is easier.

I got it to work in compatibility mode!

changed it to Windows 7 and disabled "Display Scaling on High DPI settings"

Thanks to all who helped!

I know this is an old thread, but I have a solution for anyone trying to run this on 1920x1080 screen (or 16:9 screen) on Windows 10.

My laptop runs fine using resolution 1920x1080 for all my other games just fine, but for some reason when selecting this option in this Diablo mod, the screen becomes disproportionate and you only see around one-third of the actual game (as someone stated above).

Sure.. you can go through every resolution to find one that fills your screen properly, for me that's 1280 x 720. However you can't zoom as far out and the details aren't as good as they could be.

Solution: Right click on Belzebub.exe, go to Properties then Compatibility, then tick Override High DPI Scaling Behavior, and Scaling Performed By: Application.

Now inside the game you can choose the 1920 x 1080 option, and you will see that it fills your screen properly and at the same time allows the full detail and you can also see more (in other words, you can zoom further out).
