Diablo 1 HD Hellfire Mod | Awake

Hi, I've been playing this mod for a little bit here and I'm currently a level 21 Rogue and I've encountered severe issues in the Caves lvl 10, Anvil of Fury. The Smith, who comes out when you activate the Anvil is beyond unbeatable for me. He moves faster than me and attacks so fast I have no chance to fight back, I'm usually dead in a couple seconds. No matter what I try I cannot get past him. Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

Use Guardians and Teleport from one site to another of the peninsula he spawns on, so he travels to your spot and gets auto-targeted, also if you have learned it summon a Golem to stop him in his tracks for a bit and spam Multi Shot at him. At character lvl 24 you'll unlock the Guided Arrow skill, that also auto-targets, but you'll get to have it around dungeon lvl 14, so if you want to you can go on a bit and come back to kill the Smith after you get it. And there is also a cheesy way to avoid him altogether, but i'd rather not encourage such tactics.

teleporting and using guardian is also pretty cheesy

you could equip a 1 hander+shield to kill him. get a very fast attack 1 hander and a shield with high block or a fast bow + golem.

either way, if you have enough attack speed you can trap him in recovery frames and he won't even be able to do anything.

The best friend for Rogue is her trusty Golem. Use the Golem to distract the boss while you pelt away with the fastest bow you can. Do extra damage using sacrifice. Teleport to safety.

Personally, I always use the cheesy way.
