Diablo 1 HD Hellfire Mod | Awake

I play version 6.9a and for me it's really difficult to advance deeper into the dungeon. I almost get no money and when i do i have to buy potions and the skeleton demons on dlvl 1 don't make it any easier

Is it normal to have such problems right at the start?
Should i start with another class?

Yes. You can use HolyBolt on undeads. HolyBokt is available as spell in starting staff for Sorcerer.
