Hello

We have tested Awake on Windows 7 and there are no problems with creating new characted or playing the game. I think that you must have deleted some file from the mod folder or something like that. Try reinstalling the mod.

yeah this doesnt work man, i uninstalled diablo and awakening entirely, reinstalled diablo and patched, reinstalled awakening, and still the same thing.

i made sure all the files from awakening and diablo were in the same folder.

"Unable to create character"

doesnt work.

No, Awake is patched to v1.09

You not need install Diablo 1

1. You must install Awake v6.4
2. Install patch v6.4a
3. install b.net patch
4. Run Awake.exe

And it should work.

Try to open the game with administrator privileges and see if that helps.

Yeah, windows 7 will do that to all mods and games that try to access the (x86) directory. Move the game to another HardDrive, or to another area of the computer, never install a game to Program Files or Program Files (x86) that you intend to mod. It seems that Vista and win7 and win8 all protect the Program Files directory from modifications, and is treated like the Windows directory now.
