1) Is there any specific monsters that drop magic find gear the way the butcher drops the "butchers cleaver"?
no,butchers cleaver is only drop for butcher in 2 Dungeons. if u won't see butcher.cause u may go to butcher'room spell a "town-portal" in that room will show a red door , u will find butcher in there

2) I've heard there is some sort of magic find bonus when fighting higher level monsters. Is this true? If so, is it worth farming at higher levels even if it is slower?
High level monsters will drops more Superior quality Equipment.
when u go nightmare/hell/torment that equipment will get more better quality.

2) Where are your favorite places to farm for uniques?
Hell difficulty, if u feel boring ,may u could try torment
