No, not really, STR is best because it boosts your Skills significantly. What do you mean by miss a lot?

I miss alot by hittings the mobs with autoattack I dont know its normal or I should get better gear..?

Use Frenzy as LMB when attacking, and have some % to hit on weapon. You may miss a hit here in there but not a lot so that it becomes annoying.

And later you get lots of dexterity on items honey through +dexterity or +all attributes
