Taking the plunge with a Warrior.

Hey all. Just starting out now with a warrior, wondering how the stat points have changed if at all. I noticed that my warrior skills are improved with strength, but the improvements seem incredibly minor. Would investing in dex/vit be more useful? It seems to me the added block rate/AC/Accuracy from dex would be far more useful than the tiny bonuses I'm getting from strength. Is there a huge strength payoff that I'm not seeing?
