What is the best place to farm items ? it seems like old school Lazarus runs are not as effective as I expected.Especially I would be interested place for a mage.
Another question is - which character is the best to farm items ?
Farming items - where and which
did some runs on chamber of bones (nightmare) and diablo (normal).
best loot was iirc in the cave of the hellsmith, especially that unique monster north east from cave entry.
got some nice unique staves and robes, along other stuff.
(was with a warrior though)
i think the best char to farm would be the one you can clear fastest with...

Best paces to farm are the highest lvl od game so 13-15 and I prefer Nightmare - Hell. Ofc the biggest chance to drop items got Champions.
Aso use Monster Power x10 cuz it adds ammount and drop chance on champions. There is a special trick to farm much Unique/Set/Rare items but in Multiplayer u can't use it so I think is not important... Also for some nice items u can check chamber of bone and Lost Treasure chests
