First of all, I'd like to thank you for making this super cool mod. I think I already spent ~50 hours with it and enjoyed every second.
Re the topic, it seems that my rogue suffers from this permanent negative effect. I'm not 100% sure, but I think this effect remained in place after I died somewhere at difficulty level 2 (Nightmare?). If I remove all equipment, then every resistance value is at -25%. First I thought this was a "normal" thing in correlation with the diff level, but this has never happened to my mage, even at Hell difficulty.
Did anyone else have this problem? If so, is there a fix?
All resistances decreased to -25% permanently
It is intended, each new difficulty level subtracts 25% resistances to make your life more interesting 
It is made so you have a goal of looking for better items.
You can not notice it on some characters though if you already have good items with a lot of res on them so your total resistances are highly overcapped.

I base nearly all of my equipment combinations on max resistances over damage and stat level.
But, I have by now a stash full of equip combinations that I can max res and make a very playable equip combination at most levels.
Torment, you still need your very best equipment combinations, especially Ignore Target Resistance for combat.
