Warrior needs some help

Post by bingobot »

So this game just went from totally rad to totally bogus. I'm at the last quest, lvl 27, things have gotten much harder in the last few levels but i have decent gear, decent AC and full allres. But somehow my manaleech doesnt work as well as it did before with the new weapon. Not sure if elemental damage on hit work or not, but whatever. I manage to kill the big balrog in diablos level. I go to the next room and find the bloodlord, the destroyer. Aaaaand I cant do shit to him. Literally just standing there hitting air it seems, with 130% chance to hit..

what?

I change some gear around and find out that fire damage from gear hurt him. but very low, like 1dmg each hit. and he hits me for 43 and increases his AS after a few seconds.

Am i missing something here? As a warrior I cant to physical damage to a boss?

You need to increase your Chance to hit, as target's Armour Class decreases it, as I understand. And you should have maxed your Dexterity instead of Strength if you didn't already do so.

Hmm, not sure I understand completely here. Because I do hit the boss, I just dont do damage, and I have a lot of "to hit%". With Azurewrath sword I could see that I hit him because the cold damage effect showed, but did zero damage. When I changed to Lightforge with fire damage, It does only fire damage to him(very low, but with every swing), so I am hitting. Maybe this is spell/elemental damage hit instead of physical hit?

But to be sure, I will equip more items with change to hit and see if that helps physical damage to actually hit.

Yep! The thing is, the on-hit added elemental damage is actually applied on attack, meaning it can't miss (but can be very well negated by target's resistance). Thus, you miss your physical attack most likely, and land an elemental on-hit added damage, which never misses but does no damage.

alright that helped a lot. got him down after adding some %to hit, and managed to get to diablo.

new problem.

i tanked diablo while trying to do as much damage as possible, getting knocked back a lot though. tried standing still against a wall, but suddenly he just wrecked me. and i did a full repair before going on to him. he literally crushed my helm chest and belt, and i only got him to 50%.

what do i even do here?

If you managed to kill bosses before Diablo (which, in my opinion, is actually harder), I don't see any special tip to give for Dark Lord fight. For a warrior class it is a gear check. Make sure you have capped Fire and Lightning res (others doesn't matter as long as you've cleared area from casters around him), high attack speed ("fast" ot "very fast" on weapon) so you get to attack him in between stuns. Get a lot of AC for physical damage reduction and being able to evade basic attacks (having magic Full Plate Armour with at least 90% Increased Armour roll on it is much better than some rare or unique chest without much Armour Class but with other helpful stats as life, resistances and stats). Drop a lot of potions on the floor behind the wall so if shit hits the fan, you can Teleport there and resupply your belt. Diablo won't reset off that as he would do if you decided to go to town for potions.
