Extracting Map files from saves as PNG or similar

Ok, so I know all maps are auto generated. But is there a way to export or pull out the Maps from a save file? I ask since I LOVE the way D1 had made it's dungeon crawl maps better than all other ARPGS and I want to steal the maps for my own dungeons and dragons campaign.

I'd LOVE to just have a giant image with all the tile art and the like for a few levels of each area, but the only way I can thinks of doing that is literally killing everything and then just walking around hitting print screen, then later merging the pictures in paint....... But there HAS to be an easier way. Any ideas???

for general purpose dungeon layouts, there are several automatic random dungeon generators online

You should be able to pull individual tiles out of the .MPQ file.
Find an MPQ file browser and start exploring.
