MF in Lost Treasure Caves

Hello guys,

I have a couple of questions for you, hopefully you can assist me.

I currently have 2 characters; a level 43 sorceror and a level 45 rogue.
My rogue is still trying to get through diablo on hell, but my sorceror is in torment.
I've been doing intense MF runs on hell and lately on torment for about a week, and I haven't gotten heartseeker yet. My sorceror has 338% MF.
Can it drop in torment Lost Treasure?
Does $player 10 give me better drops from those chests than $player 0?
Are there items that will not drop from torment Lost Treasure?
Do drop chances/quality of drops increase in those chests if I am higher level?

I think i can drop since Hell difficulty but doing runs in Torment is better.
No, $player x command only influences monsters.

Yes, you can find Heartseeker (HS) in Lost Treasure Cave Tournament. I found 3 of them there. My MF was around 250.

Some people claiming that it is possible to get HS there in Hell Difficulty, but I do not believe this.
Maximum item level in Hell Lost Treasure Cave I found was 30lv.
In Tournament - 43 lv.
And I was doing MF'ing there a lot.

Basically you can expect to find any item of 43 lv. or less in Tournament Lost Treasure Cave. But there is exception for receipts: you can find receptes of 50lv.

You say you found 3 HS (HeartSeeker) in LT cave (Lost Treasure). But you also say that only items of lvl 43 or less drop there. HS is a lvl 50 item.

So, how can you have found 3 HS which is level 50 item if only lvl 43 and less items are dropped there?!

Dont waste your time doing LT cave runs on anything but Torment. I do believe character level plays a roll in drops.

At first I was discouraged by the drops in Torment runs and when back to farming it on lower difficulties. But eventually tried it some more and slowly starting getting those great max lvl end game items.

Since my last reply on this thread, I have found 2 Heartseekers in LT Torment.

The highest qlvl item I found was the staff "The Oculus", which is qlvl 56.

My char is a clvl 44 Sorcerer.
When I found the first Heartseeker my MF was about 240.
When I found the second and The Oculus my MF was about 350.

I am currently on 365 MF, and dropping uniques and sets like crazy.

Silly question, but I really have no idea what's heartseeker you are talking about in this topic? Or MF?

HeartSeeker is widely considered the best bow in the game. The big thing is it ignores the target's Armor Class, deals a ton of extra damage, and leeches that damage back to the character in the form of Life Steal. It's in this list:

MF is "magic find%", an increase to the chance you'll get sweet items from killing monsters and from chests, applied as a random affix on some equipment.

In LT you can get items up to:


qlvl 42 in Hell
qlvl 58 in Torment
