Diablo 1 HD Hellfire Mod | Awake

in single player but there is no meeting with Diablo? Have I done something wrong or did I miss something? Is this as far as the mod will allow me to go in normal level?

Upon reaching lvl 20 I believe you are automatically able to enter 2nd difficulty. You can still fight diablo on previous one though if you want.

my character is level 25 now, i've gone all through the game and went down as far as i can possibly go without ever seeing diablo and their is no other place to go.

are you saying I have to start now in nightmare mode before meeting diablo?

To find Diablo, just fight Lazarus, and then go down to the last level.
The entrance to Lazarus is a Portal (like the Town Portal, but red) on level 16.
After killing Lazarus, just go down the entrance that is right in front of this red portal.
