Most rare items farmed in Nightmare and Hell difficulties will be useless later in Torment. Your best bet is to keep playing through until you beat each dungeon level. Accept that the game is challenging and play through realizing that some farming and replay of levels is necessary.
Enjoy playing through the original quests in Normal mode.
Get through Nightmare and Hell as quickly as possible.
Torment is where the mod actually gets interesting.

Staves and Scrolls and some other items will cast the spell level of the character's learned spell level or, if the character does not know the spell, level 1

I do think it would be cool if the mobs surrounding the Anvil and Hellforge would drop crafting materials or locate some chests in that area that contained oils, gems, and tokens. Crafting is available in Tchernobog.
The anvil is already located at the blacksmith shop.
Crafting blueprints in the form of scrolls will drop from defeated enemies. The system is a little different between the two HD Mod versions.

Quests are not "fully" implemented in Tchernobog alpha.
If you would like the quest playthrough on single player only, play the other half of HD Mod, Belzebub beta.

The Iratha set and Bow of the Dead are a good combination. Keep grinding forward and you will find the belt. Gambling is mostly a waste of time, and so is LT runs. Use your Golem minion to keep the enemy off your back. Cast in the middle of the pack of spitters and recast as soon as necessary.
Work the spitters down with area effect spells from a distance. Keep teleport handy to make an escape to a protected area.
