Interesting point of view. I like it. But still, I think the addition of new classes is somewhat pointless. For example why do you need Warrior and Barbarian? They look the same (apart from minor color scheme) and both use melee weapons. Barbarian is just better with axes and has five different ski...

I actually prefer them where they are. They are centred in town which is good. It's not just about distance, but it's also nice to be reminded where they are. Putting them out of the way by the house complicates finding them for new players. It's the starting location, even new players couldn't ove...

Belzebub is a mod for D1, not a port of D2 into Diablo 1 engine.
True, there are things from D2 that work great in D1 - Gambling, item crafting, waypoints. But ffs, it's Diablo, not Diablo 2.
