Game starts, get to character creation, start new game, and the it freezes on the load screen. Music stops, game crashes. Any solution for this?

I did. I copied the one from the disc and I also grabbed the Diablo, not Hellfire, data file. It's asking for that one, just data.mpq, and though it is right there next to the program, still insists that it isn't there.

I install and copy the files as needed, but when I try to run the HD Diablo Mod, it says it needs the data.mpq file. It is right in the game data folder, I don't know why it doesn't run. Any advice?
