Re: Help with normal difficulty Terrors Domain
The most important thing to know is that due to poor balancing of enemies' damage in this game, Terror's Domain is a wall where equipment dropped in higher difficulties are required to balance that out. So basically, the rogue needs stuff from Nightmare difficulty to beat Normal difficulty. Sorcerer...

Damage type of (enemy) Necromancers' and Terror Fiends' projectiles
One small question if someone knows: Is the damage of the projectiles (used by enemy Necromancers and Gam'ar 's Terror Fiends) that look like Bone Spirit but travel fast and without tracking magical/arcane or physical ? Background: I got completely confused when attempting Nightmare Terror's Domain ...

Re: Physical Resistence = Actual Resistence ?
Thanks for clarification. So if I understood correctly, a damage reduction does exist and 'Armor Class' is responsible for both reducing damage taken and a monster's hit chance. In the meantime, I was going through my body armors in the private stash and found a 'Demonspike Coat' (AC = 168 for Lvl.3...

Physical Resistence = Actual Resistence ?
If someone with more experience knows: Does an increased physical resistence lead to actual damage reduction like the elemental resistences do or is it only a base value for a monster's hit chance calculation? I am confused here because physical resistence is increased by 'Armor Class', the value th...

Re: "Lethargy" and "Exhausted"
I don't know if I have covered everything these two skills have to offer, but I post here everything I have observed. I start with 'Rage', since this one is easier to explain. 'Rage' simply increases your stat Points (STR, DEX, and VIT) by the amount displayed on the skill description (press 'F' to ...

Re: Physical Resistance reduced
A little update on the physical resistance reduction issue that might partially answer the question: I did some further testing with Lvl 1 characters. All characters already have an increase of physical resistance with each new point into Armor Class. For Warrior and Barbarian, it's an increase by 6...

Re: Physical Resistance reduced
I did various tests and I thought I had an answer, but another test has proven me wrong later on. I will post what I have tried, so maybe someone else has another idea after reading this. - Everything speaks for the 'Battlemaster's Coat' (Increased Armor and Dexterity). My first thought was that the...

Re: Physical Resistance reduced
Armor class does increase physical resistance (and dexterity does indirectly, since it increases armor class, too). It might not be the only factor though. But a difference of 7/8% sounds extreme. Is it possible to post the armor class and magical attributes of both armors (and provide the name if a...

Re: Help understanding the base stats/points distribution
(I answered this one before but apparently I posted shortly before the new design arrived. So this time, I will only repost a short answer) I have been running tests with my Necromancer and Sorcerer. These two characters have a min 'Critical Damage' of 5%. The min point mark is the first value where...

Fanaticism grants a benefit of 10% more damage per stack - a relative increase -> Effectiveness increases with higher base damage numbers. So in theory, the ultimate destructive force can be found there when combined with high life and mana steal numbers. The only problem I see with this method in e...

Have you read the 'Tome of Knowledge' BEFORE defeating 'The Summoner' ? Because I think that reading the book in order to obtain the level up is part of the quest itself, but if you defeat the Summoner first, the quest deactivates and so the ability of the book to provide the level up. In Horazon's ...

Generally: Try to get the 'Lightning' as high as possible as early as possible. If you see it in Adria's store, the book is worth the 3000 Gold. This is the spell that can one shot almost anything at the cheap cost of around 8-13 mana. Considering how difficult this game can get, you will be thankfu...

The idea with turning fanaticism into a base attack with mana steal sounds very promissing. However, it sounds more like material for later in the game like Hell difficulty or Nightmare's Terror Domain where high tier equipment can drop and are enhanced even more by stronger magcal attribute effects...

To refer to the second question, I had a bad experience with the 2 point STR; 1 point to each other stat already in the original Diablo 1. Putting all 5 points into the stat you believe you need most is the better approach since it both helps to ignore what you don't need at the moment and to make t...
