Can not start the game

Post by Bellzemos »

Hello!

I've copied the files from the archive into the directory where I have Diablo files (diabdat.mpq too of course) and when I run Belzebub.exe (or Belzebub1044b.exe) the game does not start and I get this error:

I am running the game in Windows 7 SP1 x64. And original Diablo 1 runs fine. Any ideas?[/img]

run applications "oalinst" that you have in your game folder
Tungle ACC : Fus
Diablo ACC : Bajadoz

I have no "oalinst" anywhere, only "OpenAL32.dll" is in the folder.

I googled the thing and downloaded it from here:
http://openal.software.informer.com/3.0/

Then I copied oalinst.exe to my Diablo folder, run it and the problem is still the same as before...

Help me please.

You need to install net.framework v3.x

I downloaded net.framework v3.5 from the Microsoft site, run the file (dotNetFx35setup.exe) and nothing happens. I've tried several times, it's like nothing. Could it be already installed mabye?

Would you like to post your comp specifications?

Sure, I doubt that will help though. Here goes:

CPU: Intel Core i7 Q740 @ 1.73 GHz
RAM: 6 GB DDR3
GPU: nVidia GeForce GT 425M
OS: Windows 7 SP1 x64

My system works fine. I can play original Diablo 1 no problem (with a color glitch fix), Diablo The Awakenin mod - no problem (except for the color glitches).

I would really like to play this mod too! :)

Then it means that it's not problem with game executable itself. Most likely your system is missing one of required packages to run it. Could be C++ redistributable or something else.

The "0xc00000ba" error is commonly caused by incorrectly configured system settings or irregular entries in the Windows registry. This error can be fixed with special software that repairs the registry and tunes up system settings to restore stability.

Safe way to repair the error:

1. Click here to download the error repair application
2. Install and launch the application
3. Click the Scan Now button to detect error causes
4. Click the Repair All button to fix the error

The same application can be used to run preventative measures to reduce the chance of this or other system errors appearing in the future.

Thanx, I did that but it asked me to buy the app to fix all the problems. I won't buy it. Any other way?
