Problems with lag from loading

Post by HAL9000 »

Hey guys

I've been having a bit of a problem with lagging. Whenever I use a different spell or pick something up/put it down in my inventory, the game pauses for a second or two because I think it is loading either the sound to play or the animation depending on the situation. Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do to fix it? It's getting pretty annoying when I'm trying out different stuff.

I'm using a windows 7 laptop and am playing the game of a disc.

Thanks!
I came here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubblegum.

Where is diabdat.mpq located? Is it CD-ROM, virtual drive or just file in game folder?

It's on the CD-ROM.

That is why. Copy file diabdat.mpq from diablo1 cd to folder where you have mod (next to it's exe)
