Why is the cooldown so damn high? besides it doesn't really do much dmg...

While I agree that the cooldowns are generally a bit too long - You must remember that Sentinel attacks every nearby enemy, which means everything that attacks you is slowed down for 20 seconds. And this is it main function, not it's damage.

What is more: The enemy are slowed down passively, which allows you to cast other spells in the process.

Think of the Sentinel as a powered-up version of Circle of Ice.
