Different resistance values in Nightmare?

All of my resistance values in Nightmare dropped by 25%???

Is this intentional?

Yes, it's intentional. It's part of the increased challenge of the next difficulty. It will drop another 25% in each further difficulty down. You can use higher item affixes to get it back up to Max.

Pretty sure it's the mod. It's been a long time since I played the original but I don't remember them messing with the resistances.

It's the mod and the idea was taken from Diablo 2. =)
